Holter ECG: Similar to a blood pressure Holter, but this device continuously records the electrical activity of the heart for 24 to 48 hours. Indicated for patients who may experience arrhythmias or episodes of palpitations, dizziness or syncope that are not captured on a resting ECG.
Tilt Test: A test used to determine the cause of fainting or syncope. The patient is placed on a table that tilts while his or her vital signs are monitored. It is especially useful for people who have experienced fainting episodes without a clear cause.
